I am teaching the Plants and Critters class and the Computers for Beginners class this summer. I am having so much fun getting to know new students and learning more about our SPS garden. The books, Powerpoint presentations, and spreadsheets we are creating in the computer class are turning out fantastic. I know that this is something our 2nd graders can and will do next year!
Measuring the length of a cricket's jump.
Creating camouflage critters, then mapping their whereabouts for a partner to find.
Working with data.
These students sorted "data," then created an Excel spreadsheet to share it with others. They also learned to use formulas to verify their total and insert a pie chart or bar graph in Excel.
