Soaking in the last two weeks of summer

I cannot quite capture the magic of summer sunsets on my camera, but it doesn't stop me from trying. :)

As we're soaking in the last few moments of summer, I wanted to share some important events that will be here before we know it.

Thur. Aug. 22: Parent Orientation for 1st & 2nd Grade, 6:00-7:00

Tues. Aug. 27: Bridge Book Check-In, 10:00-1:00 and 4:00-7:00 * at South Pointe

Wed. Aug. 28: Family Forms Night, 4:00-8:00 PM (attend only if you need to complete forms)

Thur. Aug. 29: Family Forms Night, 4:00-8:00 PM (attend only if you need to complete forms)

Mon. Sept. 2: Labor Day, No School

Tues. Sept. 3: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Thur. Sept. 6: Fall Picture Day (students wear school uniforms)

Mon. Sept. 9: NWEA testing beings (the specific schedule with the day and time each class tests will be forthcoming)

Tues. Sept. 24: Open House, Y5K-grade 3 @ 6:00 PM 4th-7th @ 7:00 PM

I have been working on our classroom quite a bit.  In fact, the sunset above inspired one of our bulletin boards.  I can assure you that it looks much better than this...
