Earth Day & Science Unit on Plants

Earth Day
To celebrate Earth Day we headed outside to pick up some trash around the school. It was cold, but fun. We also found some seed pods and seeds that nicely fit with our science unit on plants.

Plant Unit
We began a new science unit on plants. The students are really enjoying growing rye and alfalfa grass as well as wheat. They will be planting potatoes and vines soon.

Student of the Week

My week as student of the week was fun. It was awesome because I got to pick sticks. I could help the teacher because I was teacher assistant. I didn't have to do morning work. I did my poster instead. I liked it because I could do anything that no other person in the class could do. I felt pretty good knowing my classmates voted for me.

My week as student of the week was awesome. I was really happy when I got to read all the jobs. I was teacher assistant. I got a poster and I didn't have to do my homework, but I did it anyways. That week we were testing, and every time we came back I was in charge.

March is Reading Month And Basketball Jones

March is Reading Month
Our students did an amazing job completing summary forms and participating in the March is Reading Month activities. We had a lot of fun decorating our door, reading, writing, and dressing up during the month of March.

Basketball Jones
We had an special assembly on April 2nd. Basketball Jones came to share his talents as well as his message of kindness. It was a fun and unforgettable assembly.
